after a while, he shows up, walking in as he looks around curiously. it only took longer than it needed to because he's still not familiar with how to go about places.

once he notices where gokudera is, he gives a smile and a wave.] Yo! You really are working!

[ Gokudera's delivering a latte to a customer's table when he hears Yamamoto, and it takes all of his conscious self control not to dump it into the person's lap. Fuck. Why did he give his location away? Instead of waving back, he winces, and then pretends that he didn't see Yamamoto's greeting at all. In fact, he'll just go about his regular business until it's time to cross the cafe and head back to the counter. ]

Why the hell would I lie? [ Especially about something like a fucking cafe job. He's starting to feel self-conscious in his stupid uniform blazer. ]

[yamamoto's made himself comfortable at the counter by the time gokudera comes back to it, and he has his usual smile pasted on his face. he gives a laugh at the other's words.]

Something about gathering information and stuff? [like that one time tsuna and he ran into you working at a convenience store...] And you always slacked off during class.

Shut the fuck up, [ he grumbles, settling behind the counter and looking as disinterested as humanly possible. Stupid baseball idiot, the epitome of academic slacking. He's lucky he's arrived in this town after Gokudera's brief reign as head of the disciplinary committee. ]

I'm impressed you even found this place. [ A pause, then preemptively: ] Don't touch anything, I don't want your fingerprints on the displays or anything.

So, who else is in 1482? Did you scope it out or not?

[dang it, he's almost about to touch one of the things on display when gokudera tells him not to touch.
